Game 1: LA Lakers take the 1-0 lead in the series with a 30-point effor from Kobe Bryant. The game finishes 107-89 with the home team leads as many as 20 points in the third quarter.

Game 2: Boston Celtics pull one game back at LA Lakers, with Ray Allen breaks the NBA Playoffs record with eight three-pointers. Rajon Rondo helps himself with a triple-double as Celtics win 103-94.

Game 3: Veteran Derek Fisher scored 11 points in the fourth quarter as LA Lakers claim a 91-84 road victory at Boston. Ray Allen, having broken the 3-point record in Game 2, struggled with only two points and 0-out-of-8 from downtown.

Game 4: It is all about defense in Game 4, where Boston even the series with a 96-89 win. Kobe Bryant has 6 threes but Glen "Big Baby" Davis and Nate Robinson come off the Celtics' bench to score a combined 38 points.

Game 5: Boston Celtics take the important Game 5 despite a 38-point effort, 19 in the third quarter, by Kobe Bryant. Four of the Celtics' starters are in double figures, with Paul Pierce leading the way with 27 points.

Game 6: LA Lakers ensure the series go into the best of seven by handling Boston Celtics a heavy defeat in a 89-67 blowout. The Lakers bench comes to life with 25 points, as Shannon Brown catches attention with two high flying dunks.

Game 7: LA Lakers come back from 13 points down in the 3rd quarter to claim their 16th NBA Championship in a tough 83-79 victory. Ron Artest is spectacular at both ends, defending Paul Pierce superbly as well as adding 20 points. Kobe Bryant is the NBA Finals MVP with an average of 28 points and 8 rebounds.
